Dredg
Since releasing their independent debut "Leitmotif" in 1999, Dredg has made
listeners speechless with the poetry of their spiritual musical expressions.
Dredg's first album for Interscope is a progression on the ideals and
dynamics of "Leitmotif", experimenting on even higher sonic plateaus and
contemplative arrangements. The overwhelming emotion, beauty and unifying
spirit of new songs like "Whoa Is Me" and "Of The Room" will move you.
Dredg's positive, uplifting music is simply inspiring. Dredg have the power
to heal and the power to bring people together as one. 2002 could be the
year that Dredg blow everyone off the map. Like Nirvana destroyed the
heartless hair metal sludge of the 1980s, Dredg will deal a serious blow to
the current era of commercialized rap/rock. Dredg have the potential to be
one of the most important bands of our time. more...

TRUSTcompany
Recently signed to Geffen Records, TRUSTcompany (formerly 41down) have been working hard in the underground with their self-titled 1997 release and 1999's "Lonely Position of Neutral (1999)". TRUSTcompany enlisted the help of Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, The Apex Theory, Eve 6) to put down the band's mix of hovering ghostly vocals, melodious musical backing and inspired songwriting. Look for TRUSTcompany to come with something fresh and new in 2K2.

Audiovent
Audiovent caught people singing along on 1999's independent debut "Papa's Dojo".
The SoCal outfit features Jason Boyd and Ben Einziger, the brothers of
Brandon Boyd and Mike Eingizer of Incubus. Comparisons to their brothers
aside, Audiovent (formerly Vent) has branded their own identity with harmonious power pop-rock and bigger-than-life hooks. Audiovent's "Papa's Dojo" release was a straightforward pop/rock record that featured catchy song after catchy song. With a year of writing under their belt after signing with Atlantic Records, Audiovent has set their sights on unleashing a giant arena-filling rock sound. With hooks in place, and new songs that will rock your socks off, expect Audioent to show their brothers a thing or two in 2002. more...

Mad At Gravity
In 2002, Mad At Gravity will make people feel. Since debuting three acoustic
songs on an mp3.com site in mid-2002, Mad At Gravity has caught on with
those who were willing to listen. One of those people was former Interscope
executive Ted Field, who signed the band to his newly co-founded label
ArtistDirect Records. "Walk Away" has introduced Mad At Gravity, a song that
deeply wounds the listener with singer J. Lynn Johnston's struggling,
heartfelt vocals. Mad At Gravity's music is as real and honest as you can
find in rock music today, an inspiring and deeply moving experience that
makes you feel true to who you are. Mad At Gravity is currently at work
writing their debut album for ArtistDirect. Expect something very genuine
and moving. more...

Trapt
The San Jose-area band Trapt has stepped out as one of the best new
songwriting bands. Trapt's tension-filled vibe integrates a dense musical
backdrop of crunchy guitars and quick riffs, with an overly melodic pop
sensibility and sugary sing-a-long catchiness. Trapt integrate the tension
and pounding of Papa Roach, the smooth vocal delivery style of Incubus'
Brandon Boyd and the dense Northern California sound of bands like Far and
Deftones. Trapt have classic songs that get stuck in your head like the
anthem "Still Frame" and the jumpy "Headstrong". Trapt are the perfect blend
of smooth executed melodic rock and grinding Cali-core. more...
