3rd Strike

The Los Angeles based crew of 3rd Strike have their own take on the rap / metal genre. Singer Jim Korthe, a former gang member, brings the dichotomy of hard rock thugness and the softer side of self-reflection. The musical influences of 3rd Strike range from punk to hip hop, with a much more real brand of the sometimes cliché rap/rock genre. 3rd Strike are at their best with the timeless ballad "Redemption", a deep and captivating anthem about addiction, and with the dynamic melody-driven "Walked Away". 3rd Strike is real and their urban metal mix is one to take notice of. more...

"Alive Or Just Breathing?", the band's first Roadrunner album after moving over from Ferret Music, is firm in its ideals for exceptional heavy teeth-grinding music. Get ready for an uncompromising blow to heavy music. more...

Pulse Ultra
