3rd Strike
The Los Angeles based crew of 3rd Strike have their own take on the rap /
metal genre. Singer Jim Korthe, a former gang member, brings the dichotomy
of hard rock thugness and the softer side of self-reflection. The musical
influences of 3rd Strike range from punk to hip hop, with a much more real
brand of the sometimes cliché rap/rock genre. 3rd Strike are at their best
with the timeless ballad "Redemption", a deep and captivating anthem about
addiction, and with the dynamic melody-driven "Walked Away". 3rd Strike is
real and their urban metal mix is one to take notice of. more...
