Jess Redmon
Director Of Programming - USA
jess@shoutweb.com
My path in the music industry began in 1996 when I launched Alternative Rock World while in high school. During its 4 year run the site gathered a loyal following, thanks in part to two weekly internet radio shows that I hosted and produced on Audionet; the “ARW Top 20 Countdown” and “Future Smashes.” Before I knew it, I had publicists and managers calling me to have their bands featured on the site; I would even answer the phone with a deeper voice than my own so I would sound less like a kid. My teenage years certainly had an “Almost Famous” quality to them. I managed to create a lot of relationships with people in the music industry, many of which still exist today.
In 2000, I started Shoutweb.com with Daniel Williams, Therese McKeon, and Steve Hogg. Essentially the site was a way to merge the ARW audience with Daniel’s web properties including Kornweb.com. At its height, the Shoutweb audience and its rabid message board audience was a major focal point of the online nu-metal and rock community. Now 10 years in with running rock web sites, the music may always be evolving, but it continues to be a platform to promote artists that I am personally passionate about. I have had the opportunity to expose many deserving developing artists; many of today’s top bands were featured first on ARW and Shoutweb.
Having gained a valuable knowledge of the online music space, I began doing online marketing for various companies starting in 1998. Currently I am the General Manager and a partner in the music marketing company Total Assault. I design and execute comprehensive new media marketing and advertising campaigns for major and indie label artists. I specialize in facilitating the growth and development of artists within the online space. I make it a major priority to support grassroots music sites and blogs that promote hard working artists and independent music. Although I work a lot of high-profile artists, my primary focus is on artist development. My experience with running web sites and marketing companies has given me a very strong understanding for how to develop artists online. Besides co-owning a business, I am also very involved with a&r and artist management related ventures.
Based in Los Angeles, I am rather ubiquitous at shows in Hollywood and its surrounding areas. My current favorite artists include Against Me!, The Bronx, Muse, Lucero, Strike Anywhere, Rise Against and Vaux. I also write a monthly column in the UK based Rock Sound Magazine.

Therese McKeon (www.theresemckeon.com)
Director of Editorial / Photography - USA
therese@shoutweb.com
Looking to expand into on-line outlets for my photography, I discovered Alternative Rock World (altrockworld.com) run by Jess Redmon in 1998 and soon became the East Coast representation for ARW as Managing Editor hitting radio shows, concerts, promotional events, and the very memorable Woodstock 1999.
Morphing into Shoutweb in February 2000, I have taken on editorial and photography duties for the site for the last six years. Based in New York, many of my nights and weekends are spent hitting shows, video shoots, in-store appearances, release parties, and anywhere else Shoutweb artists choose to bring their music to the fans.
In addition to Shoutweb, I am a business systems analyst and run a web consulting business developing on-line solutions for companies both large and small.
My photography of bands on and off stage is not limited only to those bands that appear on Shoutweb.
My work has appeared in various publications including Metal Edge, Classic Rock Magazine, Modern Drummer, and Billboard Rock Monitor, as well as many on-line outlets.
In addition to music, I shoot many other subject matters and will soon be launching my own stock photography business.
On a daily basis, I deal with record labels, publicity firms, independent publicists, marketing companies, and band management as well as the bands themselves.
All my years of experience working with bands and labels have not changed the one guiding principle... that fans are always first.
Maintaining a unique one-to-one connection with many Shoutweb artists helps me insure that Shoutweb will continue to be in your face, on stage, and in the news.

Daniel Williams
Director of Programming - NZ
daniel@shoutweb.com
Qualified in Business and Management and with a background in Internet marketing and Web site design I first became involved with music content on the Web with the launch of Kornweb.com in 1998. A little over a year later the site was voted the Best Rock fansite at the 1999 Artist Direct Music Awards. Success continued with the highly popular Slipknotweb.com and other Shoutweb properties. I envisioned a major rock portal that would build on the success of Kornweb and would feature interviews, reviews, news and loads of fresh content. After meeting Jess Redmon in 1999 the Shoutweb vision was born. My favorite bands include Korn, Adema, System of a Down, and Static-X.
