Notes and Butterfly Kisses, grabbing the attention of a wide spectrum
of music fans by demolishing the barriers between rock, melodic hardcore and
metal. The band’s unique music hit like a lightning bolt in hard music
circles, critical raves poured in from publications like LA Times, Guitar World,
and Metal Maniacs, who commented, "The Southern California five-piece
brings new definition to overnight success." Suicide Notes and Butterfly
Kisses went on to scan 217,000 units and set the stage for The
Curse, which hit stores in June of 2004. Named “Hot New Metal
Band” by Rolling Stone and featured in countless music magazines, The
Curse has sold over 300,000 copies. The world-spanning “Thick As
Thieves Tour” and Warped Tour 2005 cemented Atreyu’s reputation as an
incredible live act. With the year’s touring coming to a close, Atreyu has
entered the studio to record their third Victory Records release with producer
Josh Abraham (Velvet Revolver, Courtney Love, Korn).
