Deftones are planning to release their new album, "Lovers", in October on Maverick. The band is currently at work writing material for the effort and will begin recording with producer Terry Date (Staind) shortly. The debut album from Team Sleep, the side project of Deftones frontman Chino Moreno, has been pushed back to 2003. Chino is expected to continue work on the effort through the rest of the year.
